Quartz questions
Frequently askedquestions
Is quartz a natural stone?
Quartz is a natural mineral. Quartz slabs for countertops are typically engineered from crushed natural quartz bound with resin, which gives an even, non-porous surface.
What is the difference between quartz and granite?
Granite is cut directly from natural rock, so every slab is unique. Quartz slabs are engineered, so colour and pattern are consistent from slab to slab and the surface does not need sealing.
Is quartz heat resistant?
Quartz handles everyday kitchen use, but very hot pans can damage the resin in engineered quartz. Use trivets.
